Prosperna

UI/UX Designer Intern
April 2022 - May 2022
Overview
From April 2022 - May 2022, I did my Internship/On-The-Job Training at Prosperna, an e-Commerce Software Business where it is to empower 100,000 (Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises) MSMEs made simple and afforable specifically made in the Philippines. It is led by Dennis Velasco, CEO and Founder of Prosperna. As what they say to empower MSMEs in the Philippines, we believe that with Prosperna and you, we can help close the social and economic inequality gap forever.

This is what the #ProsperNation is all about.

Let’s work together to build a #betterPhilippines!

Wireframing
The Wireframing Phase was not applied since I was only assigned to create different verticals designs.
Mockup
I researched a lot in Pinterest, Unsplash, and Pexels for design ideas. After finishing my designs, I used one from the shoe apparel industry to guide me for the mockup part of my design process. One of the main takeaways was to consider how I could incorporate a better way for users to understand more about the specific industry.

From the mockups below, the industry I chose to feature the shoe apparel industry specifically, the running shoes/apparel. Running has become an important sport since the pandemic because of how it has limited everyone in maintaining a good health. As an inspiration, the design I created below not only focuses  on the runners but also, to other athletes who can inspire other people in going to fitness.
Reflection
My Internship at Prosperna was a great experience. As a beginner, my mentors  taught me how to use figma in a much simpler way and finding inspiration in case I don't come up with a design within the given time period.

What's great about using Figma is the collaboration within the team when it comes to meeting alignments for checking of my designs. Throughout my internship at Prosperna, I definitely learned a lot from them because of how straightforward they are, tips, tricks, and other resources they provide me to improve my web design skills. I learned a lot in the company and with the team that I can list below:

- Improved Designs Skills through Ran Segall's Web Design Fundamentals Course

- Applied Simplicity and Minimalistic Approach from a complex perspective

- The Quality > Quantity Logic of creating multiple designs
Non-stop researching in Pinterest, Unsplash, etc. for Web Design Inspiration

- Created a Design Planning System through it's important factors such as color palette, pictures, and the visualization of the design in the end result.
